My name is Sam Richardson I have been a performing guitarist for over 40 years and I have taught private lessons for over 30 years.

I started tinkering with guitar electronics and repairs when I was 17. I was fortunate enough to hang out with Mike Lumley in my youth and picked up a lot from him. Mike was a fantastic guitar tech, musician, and friend.

I became serious about becoming a top notch luthier so I enrolled in classes at Atlanta Guitar Works and studied under Master luthier Brian Mallone.
I now have my own shop located in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Craftsmanship is my number one priority. First and foremost the sound and play ability must be spot on. Visually the instrument should be a work of art.
